Community Candlelight Vigil for Victims of ICE Violence

January 10 @ 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm
Candlelight Vigil

This Saturday, Yakima Indivisible will gather for a candlelight vigil to honor and remember the lives impacted and lost due to violence perpetrated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

This vigil is a space for quiet reflection and collective grief—but also for resolve. We come together not only to mourn, but to affirm our shared humanity and our belief that no one should live in fear because of where they were born, how they arrived, or the paperwork they carry.

As candles are lit, we will hold in our hearts the families and communities who have been torn apart, and we will stand in solidarity with our neighbors who continue to face uncertainty, detention, and violence. In the stillness, we make room for compassion. In our gathering, we find strength.

This is not a protest. It is a moment of remembrance, care, and connection—an opportunity to show up for one another and to remind those most affected that they are not alone. Together, we send a message of dignity, accountability, and hope.

All are welcome. Bring a candle if you have one, or simply bring yourself. Your presence matters.

In standing together, we honor the past, support the present, and commit ourselves to a more just and humane future.
