No Kings 3 Protest in Union Gap, Washington

More than 2,000 protesters gathered under sunny skies in Union Gap Saturday, March 28, for the third “No Kings” rally. They joined an estimated 8 million protesters nationwide to show their opposition to President Trump’s immigration crackdown and the war in Iran.

The rally’s atmosphere was peaceful and celebratory, with music blasting from several locations and a wide variety of signs supporting democracy, the rule of law and the US Constitution.

Yakima Indivisible volunteers manned a merch and information table which also featured the League of Women Voters, the Washington Youth Alliance and the National Day Laborer Organizing Network.

Thousands of drivers streamed by, with the vast majority honking and waving in support. Here’s what some of the protesters had to say about why they attended:

Our next goal is to mobilize voters ahead of the midterm elections. To everyone who participated in No Kings 3 – we appreciate you and stand together with you in supporting Democracy!
