Hundreds Join ‘Justice for ALL Protest’ collaboration from Canadian Border to Columbia River

Protesters holding signs at Justice for ALL protest

Hundreds of Washington citizens united to uphold democracy in a ‘Justice for ALL Protest’ held simultaneously on February 15 in Yakima, the Tri-Cities, Omak, Twisp, and Tonasket.

This was the first collaboration of the Congressional District 4 Indivisible Alliance (CD-4 Indivisible Alliance). CD-4 is a huge congressional district, spanning the state from the Canadian border to the Columbia River. Five Indivisible groups united for this event.

Nearly 200 protesters gathered along Nob Hill Boulevard in Yakima, despite gray skies and chilly temperatures. In the Tri-Cities, more than 100 citizens protested. In Tonasket, 44 people gathered in solidarity with the CD-4 group – an impressive 6% of Tonasket’s population of 800.

Their gathering was cheerful and optimistic, as protesters sang songs, waved flags, and cheered when cars driving by honked their horns. One local business brought out hot coffee and cookies. Participants said it was inspiring that throughout our nation, people are recognizing that this administration is moving us in the wrong direction.

More than 80 people attended the protest in Twisp, many of whom were holding coordinated signs with messages such as ‘Justice for All,’ ‘Freedom of the Press,’ and ‘Free Speech.’  They got a very positive response from drivers on Highway 20. Thirty more citizen protesters showed up to represent our cause in Omak. Yakima Indivisible is thrilled to have so many partners in democracy!

Please attend our next protest, which will be massive, on March 28. It is a national day of action called No Thrones, No Crowns, No Kings. Tell your friends, because the more of us who stand up against the illegal and immoral actions of this administration, the more impact we will have.
