More Than 800 Attend ICE Out Now Rally Sunday in Yakima, Hundreds More Attend Grief Vigil

ICE Out Now Protest February 1st, 2026

Yakima Indivisible’s first ‘ICE Out Now’ rally in Yakima drew more than 800 protesters who lined the streets at 40th & Tieton Drive, holding signs and banners to protest the masked paramilitary agents killing American citizens in the streets and terrorizing blue cities across the nation. Peaceful protesters got an enthusiastic response from the majority of drivers passing by on an unseasonably warm, sunny day.

After the rally, many of the protesters attended a Community Grief Vigil and interfaith service at Englewood Christian Church. Hundreds listened to Rev. Christie Love lead a moving service featuring a Palestinian immigrant who described his harrowing experience during war in the West Bank, where he witnessed  the death and injury of family members. He urged peace. Two other local religious leaders described what they are doing to try and stop the violence, and urged us to stand up for our beliefs and our inalienable rights under US law. The crowd held up candles and spoke of their grief in these troubling times.
